Dingman Township Electronics and Battery Recycling Collection was Quite Successful
Township employees and employees of County Waste unload rubbish and recyclable material
On September 29th, Dingman Township held its Fall Clean-up and Electronics Recycling Day. Residents were able to dispose of furniture, carpets and other materials that are had to dispose. Scrap metal and white goods were segregated out for recycling.
Always popular was the electronics and battery recycling. Residents could dispose of televisions, computers, and other electronic items. These items are then recycled preventing them from being landfilled.
Batteries are also accepted for recycling including wet cell batteries (car, boat, rv batteries) and consumer batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, and others).
The following is a list of some of the electronic items collected:
62 Televisions
19 VCR / DVD / Game consoles
17 Computer monitors
3 Computers
8 Laptop / pad computers
17 Printers / fax / scanners
and hundreds of other electronic items. Over 100 pounds of consumer batteries were collected too!
