2011 Fall Clean-up and Recycling Day was a Success !

 

Many Dingman Township residents took advantage of the 2011 Fall Clean-up and Electronics Recycling Day.  Turnout was lower than most years thanks to some of the larger communities holding their own clean-up days, however, 97 vehicles passed through the gates loaded with material to be recycled or disposed of.  A summary of the materials collected:

 

To Be Recycled:

Electronics (TVs, Computers, etc)          180 + items

Including:                                                                           

25 Computers

13 Printers

19 Computer Monitors                  

20 VCRs /DVDs

25 Televisions

 5  Microwave Ovens

Mixed metals                                             60 yards

White goods (washers, dryers, etc.)         12  items

Consumer Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc.)   2.5 gallon bucket full

             

          To Be Disposed of:

Assorted Rubbish                                   210 yards


If you missed Fall Clean-up Day, there will be another one next Spring.  And, don't forget, you can bring your household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, hearing aid, etc.) and cell phones to the Township Building for recycling  Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4:00.  Click here for more recycling opportunities.
