Administrative Secretary
Responsibilities include
assisting customers, processing permit paperwork, correspondence, filing.
Proficiency with MS Word a must.
Ability to learn custom programs, utilize copying, scanning and telephone
equipment necessary. Includes two evening meetings per month.
Must be a team player and able to excel in an often high-paced
environment. Knowledge of the
geography of Dingman Township a plus.
Position is full-time with an excellent benefits package and available
immediately.
Dingman Township is seeking qualified individuals to be placed on our list of
on-call snow plow operators.
CDL preferred.
Clean driving record and snow plowing experience required.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
PLANNING COMMISSION
– Alternate Members Needed
The Planning Commission meets
twice per month on the second and fourth Wednesdays.
Duties of the Commission include:
- Reviewing submissions for lot combinations,
subdivisions, land developments, and conditional use zoning applications for
compliance with Township ordinances and formulating recommendations on the
submissions to the Board of Supervisors.
- Reviewing/commenting on proposed land use ordinance
amendments to the Board of Supervisors.
- Reviewing/commenting on submissions before the Zoning
Hearing Board.
This is a volunteer
position.
Mileage reimbursement is
provided, as well as waiving of
fees at the semi-annual
Township Cleanup Days.
ZONING HEARING BOARD
– Board Member and Alternate needed
The Zoning Hearing Board meets
as needed to review and act upon applications for Zoning Appeals, Special
Exception Uses, and Variances.
This is a volunteer position. Mileage reimbursement is provided, as well as waiving of fees at the semi-annual Township Cleanup Days.
PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
– Alternate Members & Volunteers Needed
The "Rec Board" usually meets 2
times per month, currently on the second and fourth Tuesdays, in addition to
volunteering at events sponsored by the Commission.
Duties include:
- Working with the Board of Supervisors on developing
park improvement priorities.
- Setting field use and Concession building use
schedules based on applications received from leagues.
- Organizing and holding Township sponsored events;
current events include Scarecrows in the Park, Haunted Halloween Trail, Movie
Nights, Spring into the Park.
- Reviewing certain
subdivision/land development submissions for compliance with the recreation
provisions of
Township ordinances
and formulating recommendations on the submissions to the Board of Supervisors.
This is a volunteer position.
Mileage reimbursement is provided, as well as
waiving of
fees at the semi-annual Township Cleanup Days.
A staff secretary is provided to assist the
Board with clerical, organizational, and other duties.
