Spring-in-the-Park 2016

On May 14th, the Dingman Township Parks and Recreation Commission held its Spring-in-the-Park Festival. In what the Commission hopes will become an annual event, the Festival was a day of fun and festivities for children and adults.

The children loved the somewhat eccentric games and contests including the toilet paper toss, the obstacle course, and balloon pop.  Skee-Ball, a Bouncy House provided by Community Rental Center, and a craft station added to the fun.

The obstacle course allowed the kids to test their speed and agility.

Doug Luhrs ran a planting station where children learned how to properly plant and care for vegetables.  Pike County Jazzercize demonstrated and led the audience in the latest exercising techniques and Country Ark Farms brought "pettable" critters to the children's delight. As one would expect of raptors, the Birds of Prey show kept the audience enrapt and everyone was amazed at how Mark Strouse could convert ordinary logs into works of art.
