One Day Detour Planned November 8 for Log Tavern Bridge Construction
The bridge carrying Log Tavern Road (SR-2006) over the Dwarfskill Creek in Dingman Township, Pike County, is scheduled to close for one day on Wednesday, November 8th from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm for culvert placement work.
During the one day closure, motorist will be detoured onto SR-2001 and Milford Road to PA-739. After the short closure, the bridge will reopen, with one lane of alternating traffic controlled by traffic signals.
Motorist are advised to allow extra time when travelling through the work area because slowdowns will occur during construction.
Work began in late August 2017 to replace the aging bridge, as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacement work is anticipated to be complete in late November.
