Dingman Township
Pike County, Pennsylvania
Sewage Notice #9
MEMO:
To: All Sewage System Designers that Operate in Dingman Township
From: Chris Wood, Sewage Enforcement Officer
Date: October 20, 2010
With the enactment of the revised Chapter 102, I wish to remind you of Dingman Township’s requirement that all sewage site plans show the extent of proposed earth disturbance and the size of the area in square feet or acres.
25 Pa. Code 102.43 prohibits municipalities from issuing any permits for which the proposed soil disturbance will equal or exceed one acre in area unless the proper E&S and NPDES permits are issued by DEP/Conservation District.
The revised Chapter 102 has many provisions that will affect structure placement and in some cases it will require a mandatory 150 foot forested buffer from streams, lakes, and intermittent streams. In such situations, no sewage system may be put in the buffer. As the consultant, it is your duty to know your client’s building plans to layout the sewage system accordingly.
