Sewage Department
In 1966, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
enacted the Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities
Act. This groundbreaking legislation
established rules and regulations for the
siting and construction of on-lot sewage
disposal systems. Municipal governments are
charged with the administration of the
Sewage Facilities Act.
Permits, inspections, and investigations are
conducted by state certified Sewage
Enforcement Officers that are employed by
the individual municipalities.
The Dingman Township Sewage Enforcement
Officer is Chris Wood. He conducts office
hours Monday through Friday between 9 and
10:30 A.M. at the Dingman Township Municipal
Building on Fisher Lane.
Requests for inspections must be made
directly with the Sewage Enforcement Officer
during office hours. Messages sent by
e-mail, fax, etc. will not be honored.
Violation complaints must be made in writing
and contain the signature and telephone
number of the person making the complaint.
Anonymous complaints will not be accepted.
Parties filing complaints should provide
sufficient detail to positively identify the
violation site.
